Fillmore Riley’s Motion to Strike Cancer takes CancerCare Manitoba’s 15th annual Challenge for Life

Fillmore Riley’s 27-member team, Motion to Strike Cancer, has committed to raising $40,000 for CancerCare Manitoba through our participation in Challenge for Life. The firm is also a longtime sponsor of the fundraiser.

From August 4 to 14, 2022, each member of Motion to Strike Cancer will take on a unique physical challenge to reach an individual milestone of 20 kilometres or 200 minutes of workout activities. Each member will also raise a minimum of $250.

“We all have our own reasons for taking the Challenge,” said Stuart Blake, CEO & Managing Partner of Fillmore Riley and a member of the Board of Directors at CancerCare Manitoba Foundation. “We’ve all been personally touched in some way by cancer. We’re pleased that our longtime involvement has made a difference in the lives of Manitobans dealing with cancer.”

Challenge for Life proceeds stay right here in Manitoba to support prevention, early detection, state-of-the-art research, world-class treatment and vital patient programs and services at CancerCare Manitoba. Since its inception in 2008, $14.3 million has been raised.

Through our past involvement in the Challenge for Life Walk and the Dragon Boat Festival, we have raised more than $400,000 that went towards helping Manitobans affected by cancer.
