Anthony is a partner practising in civil litigation.

He focuses primarily on insurance law, defending a broad array of insured claims related to product liability, general property and casualty insurance, professional errors and omissions and municipal liability. He also routinely acts for insurers in subrogation matters and coverage disputes. He is one of the firm’s contact partners for the Risk Management Counsel of Canada, a national association of independent law firms offering legal services to the insurance industry.

Anthony also has particular experience in the area of professional regulation. He provides advice to professional associations in the areas of complaints investigation, discipline, registration, regulatory policy, by-law and statutory interpretation, appeals and judicial review, and has also acted on behalf of regulated professionals. He also supports the firm’s banking litigation practice, assisting in debt collections and creditor’s rights enforcement proceedings.

Anthony has appeared before all levels of court in Manitoba as well as various tribunals.

For seven years, Anthony represented Fillmore Riley on the Planning Committee for the Manitoba Bar Association’s hallmark Midwinter Conference. His leadership roles within the firm include participating in the summer and articling student recruitment process and direction of the United Way Campaign.
