      We have an immediate opening for an evenings and weekends Corporate Department Digitization Assistant. The Corporate Department Digitization Assistant’s role is responsible for assisting the team members of the Corporate Department in digitizing corporate records, while adhering to the quality standards set by the firm.

      Principal Duties and Responsibilities

      • Attending to digitizing corporate files
      • Attending to digitizing Minute Books

Corporate paralegals assist lawyers in all stages of corporate transactions and with the preparation of documents necessary to comply with regulations in the conduct of business activities. 

      Responsibilities

      • Prepare documents required to form Manitoba and Federal corporations, professional corporations and limited partnerships
      • Prepare documents required to amend, revise, amalgamate, dissolve and continue corporations
      • Prepare documentation for extra-provincial registrations
      • Prepare documents required to register business names
      • Create and maintain corporate minute books
      • Assist in the preparation and closing of various corporate transactions
      • Update corporate databases

  • Litigation Legal Assistant

We have an immediate opening for a Litigation Legal Assistant.

      Responsibilities

      • Perform all administrative accounting tasks, such as file opening, conflict searches, time entry, e-billing, cheque requisitions, trust deposits, etc.
      • Arrange service of documents with process server
      • Prepare legal documents based on instructions by lawyer and by referring to precedents, where required
      • Keep records of matter status and communicate status to client as directed by lawyer
      • Draft correspondence including demand letters
      • Proofread and edit all documents for grammar, spelling and content accuracy
      • Assist with general practice office management, including filing, scheduling meetings and court dates

      Core Competencies

      • Three or more years experience as litigation legal assistant
      • Exercise sound judgment and problem-solving skills
      • Possess strong computer and organizational skills
