Biography

Michael is an articling student-at-law. His anticipated Call to the Manitoba Bar is in June 2023.

Michael assists lawyers on a variety of civil litigation and corporate law matters. A strong researcher and professional communicator, he comes to the firm with a background in media and corporate public relations. 

Michael was President of the Manitoba Law Students Association (2022), overseeing all student governance at the University of Manitoba’s Faculty of Law and serving on multiple Law Faculty Council committees. He was also an editor of both the Manitoba Law Journal and the Asper Review of International Business and Trade Law during his education. Michael also participated in the Harold G. Fox Canadian Intellectual Property Moot competition as an oralist, as well as the Robson Hall Negotiation Competition.

Michael received the Manitoba Bar Association’s President’s Award of Excellence, which honours a Manitoba CBA member for extraordinary contributions to the Association and its goals. Michael also received the Emerging Leader Award from the University of Manitoba in recognition of his leadership and initiative for law students and the wider Faculty of Law. Additionally, he was a recipient of a Faculty of Law Award of Appreciation for his work as President of the MLSA.
