Biography
Working closely with the Chief Operating Officer and Executive Committee, Candice leads branding and marketing initiatives that enhance the firm’s communications with clients and the community. She also manages major sponsorships that align with the firm’s core values, such as giving back to the community and contributing to thought leadership in the legal community.
Candice joined Fillmore Riley in 2010 and has been actively involved with almost all of the firm’s philanthropic efforts. She is a longtime member of the firm’s team — Motion to Strike Cancer — that raises money for CancerCare Manitoba’s Challenge for Life. She also sits on the committee that leads the firm’s annual internal United Way campaign. As an all-season cyclist, Candice took on the role of the firm coordinator for the annual Commuter Challenge and Jack Frost Challenge. Leading by example, she encourages team members to cycle, run or walk to work.
Before joining the firm, Candice worked as a print journalist and covered the energy and construction sectors in Alberta. She also contributed to the arts section of the Calgary Herald and wrote for lifestyle magazines. Earlier in her career, she worked as a marketing and communications manager for a national professional services firm.
