Fillmore Riley exceeds Challenge for Life fundraising goal, raising almost $48,000 for CancerCare Manitoba

Fillmore Riley’s 27-member team, Motion to Strike Cancer, exceeded our $40,000 goal, raising almost $48,000 through our participation in CancerCare Manitoba Foundation's Challenge for Life.

Each team member committed to achieving an individual milestone of 20 kilometres or 200 minutes of exercise, as well as raising a minimum of $250. Our captain, CEO and Managing Partner, Stuart Blake, singlehandedly raised almost $18,000.

“I’d like to thank our colleagues, friends and family for their generous donations,” said Stuart. “As a member of the Board of Directors at CancerCare Manitoba Foundation, I have first-hand knowledge of how much of an impact the fundraising has on programs, research and equipment. I thank each team member for making a meaningful difference in the lives of Manitobans affected by cancer.”

CancerCare Manitoba Foundation's 15th annual Challenge for Life raised a total of $1,039,467. Since 2008, Challengers have raised more than $15 million for local leading-edge cancer research, clinical trials and patient care.
