Fillmore Riley’s Motion to Strike Cancer takes CancerCare Manitoba’s Virtual Challenge for Life

Fillmore Riley’s 20-member team, Motion to Strike Cancer, has committed to raising $30,000 for CancerCare Manitoba through our participation in the 2021 Virtual Challenge for Life. The firm is also a sponsor of the event.

From August 5 through 17, 2021, each member of Motion to Strike Cancer will take on a unique physical challenge to reach an individual milestone of 20 kilometres or 200 minutes of workout activities. Each member will also raise a minimum of $250.

“Each team member has deeply personal reasons for taking the Challenge,” said Stuart Blake, a partner of Fillmore Riley and a member of the Board of Directors at CancerCare Manitoba Foundation. “Fillmore Riley is a long-time supporter of Challenge for Life. It’s one of the ways we give back to our community.”

Challenge for Life proceeds stay right here in Manitoba to support prevention, early detection, state-of-the-art research, world-class treatment and vital patient programs and services at CancerCare Manitoba. Since its inception in 2008, $13 million has been raised.

Through our past involvement in the Challenge for Life Walk and the Dragon Boat Festival, we have raised more than $350,000 that went towards helping Manitobans affected by cancer.
