Canadian National Railway Company acquires TransX Group of Companies
Overview
Canadian National Railway Company completed the acquisition of TransX Group of Companies, all based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Fillmore Riley LLP acted for the vendor. The target entities operate one of the largest and oldest transportation businesses in Canada and has 3,000 employees, 1,500 trucks, 4,000 trailers, 1,000 intermodal containers and 12 North American terminals, handling 72,000 shipments per month. This transaction represented the first trucking acquisition of scale by Canadian National Railway Company.
