Sydney is an articling student-at-law with an expected Call to Bar of June 2026. She received her Juris Doctor from the University of Manitoba in 2025.

During law school, Sydney completed a clerkship with the Court of King's Bench and was named a Pitblado Scholar in second year as a top 10 student of highest standing in her class. She received the Duncan J. Jessiman, Q.C. Prize for highest standing in Corporations I. 

Sydney was actively involved in the Robson Hall community as chair of the Manitoba Law Students Association Graduation committee. She also participated in the Solomon Greenberg Moot in third year.
