Overview

Robson Hall's respondent team of Jasmine Yakabowich and Sameer Harris beat out 25 teams from 13 law schools across the country. Sameer Harris was also awarded the Donald F. Sim Award for Best Oral Advocate. The victory marked the first win for the University of Manitoba in 14 years of competition.
Robson Hall’s appellant team of Eric Wagner and Cole Cornies put in strong performances in the preliminary rounds, and together with researcher Marianne Hofmann, supported the respondent team in preparing for the semi-final and final rounds.
The Harold G. Fox Moot promotes education in the intellectual property field and provides participants with the opportunity to interact with jurists of the Supreme, Ontario and Federal Courts as well as respected intellectual property lawyers.
Fillmore Riley lawyers have a long history of supporting the competition. Julia has served as a co-coach for many years and was a practice judge before that. Dean Giles and Danielle Grzybowski also acted as practice judges this year.
