The team at Fillmore Riley congratulates Dana Nelko on his well-earned retirement.
Throughout Dana's 46-year career, he helped clients resolves estate litigation disputes. He also advised financial institutions and provided lenders with information on creditors' rights litigation, foreclosure, and debt enforcement proceedings.
In addition to maintaining a busy practice and co-chairing the firm's Wills, Estates & Trusts practice, Dana wrote and presented papers through the Law Society of Manitoba's Continuing Professional Development Program. An authority on elder abuse, Dana was a sought-after speaker who participated in educational sessions on World Elder Abuse Awareness Day.
Respected by his peers and clients alike, Dana was recognized as a litigation star by Benchmark Litigation and as a leading wills and estates practitioner by Best Lawyers in Canada.
Throughout Dana's career, he devoted countless hours to educating the next generation of lawyers. He gave guest lectures in estate litigation for the Wills and Estates course and acted as a judge for the Robson Hall Negotiation Competition, which Fillmore Riley sponsors.
