Aron Grusko receives 2025 Max Nathanson Young Leadership Award

The Jewish Federation of Winnipeg selected Aron Grusko as the 2025 recipient of the Max Nathanson Young Leadership Award. The award recognizes Aron's longtime volunteer commitment and community leadership.

This award is presented to an individual volunteer who demonstrates outstanding service and leadership in support of the activities of the Jewish Federation of Winnipeg. Max Nathanson's commitment to education and philanthropic contributions made him an inspirational figure in the Winnipeg Jewish Community. This award is dedicated to him to ensure his legacy continues. To be considered for this award you must have a demonstrated record of successes in a leadership capacity as well as an ability to inspire and motivate your peers.

Aron currently serves at the Treasurer and Finance Chair of the Jewish Federation of Winnipeg. He has led or been a major participant in a number of Federation's financial and governance initiatives, including transitioning to a new CFO, spinning-out and re-establishing the Vaad HaKashrut's Board, overhauling Federation's governance structure, and enhancing community security. Aron has a long history of involvement with Winnipeg's Jewish community, including attending Gray Academy, working as the Operations Director at B.B. Camp, and serving on the Board of Winnipeg's Jewish Child & Family Service. He also has a long history of volunteering in the broader community and within his profession, and was the recipient of the Manitoba Bar Association's Community Involvement Award.

Aron is a partner in Fillmore Riley's Taxation practice. His practice encompasses all aspects of corporate and personal tax planning. He also has a significant healthcare law practice, acting as counsel to healthcare and other professionals, including doctors and dentists who are looking to start or expand their practices. Aron was recently the recipient of the Lexpert Rising Star Award, recognizing him as a leading lawyer in Canada under the age of 40.
