Ranish’s corporate and commercial practice emphasizes technology and intellectual property law. He handles transactional and commercial projects for large and small businesses in an array of industries, including software development, social media, cannabis, manufacturing, life sciences and web-based enterprise. He also has extensive familiarity with technology transfer, data privacy and cybersecurity matters.
Ranish has experience guiding clients in emerging industries, including cryptocurrency. With greater emphasis on the role of technology in business, Ranish is committed to ensuring that his clients receive the legal advice necessary for their success in a timely and cost-effective manner.
In addition, Ranish's corporate and commercial law practice includes transactional experience in commercial asset acquisitions and sales, share acquisitions and sales and commercial real estate.
A graduate of the University of Manitoba Faculty of Law, Ranish was the recipient of the D.A. Thompson Q.C. Prize, was on the Dean’s Honour Roll and represented Manitoba in the Harold G. Fox Intellectual Property Moot. He continues to be involved with the Faculty of Law as a judge for the Robson Hall negotiation competition.
