Biography

Chris practises primarily in regulatory, administrative, and public law with a focus on energy and utility regulation.

Chris has acted as counsel in a broad range of regulatory and administrative law proceedings relating to energy regulation, automobile insurance, telecommunications services, and alternative financial services.  He has appeared before the Public Utilities Board, the Manitoba Clean Environment Commission, the Manitoba Health Appeal Board, the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission, the Manitoba Court of King's Bench, and the Federal Court of Appeal. With Fillmore Riley LLP, Chris acts as legal counsel to Manitoba’s energy and utility regulator.

Chris is actively involved in the legal community, currently as a sessional instructor at the University of Manitoba’s Robson Hall Faculty of Law teaching a seminar course on the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Outside the legal profession, Chris serves on the Board of Directors of the Cerebral Palsy Association of Manitoba.
