Over the past decade, more than 90 per cent of our articling students have been offered positions with our firm. Over the last eight years, 100 per cent of the students have joined the firm on a full-time basis.

Salary & benefits for articling students.

Our articling students receive compensation that is competitive with other leading law firms in Manitoba and enjoy two weeks of paid vacation. Our students also receive coverage under a comprehensive group insurance plan which includes health, travel and life insurance benefits.

Fillmore Riley also covers:

  • Bar Admission Course fees
  • Fees for various Bar Association and Law Society seminars and lectures
  • Call and yearly practising fees for students joining our firm as lawyers

How to Apply

It is our intention to hire up to two to three students for the 2019-2020 articling year.

The application deadline for students to submit resumes, cover letters and all university transcripts (i.e. undergraduate and law school transcripts) is no later than 12:00 (noon), Friday, May 11th, 2018.

Please ensure your application package includes the following:

  1. Cover Letter
  2. Resume
  3. Undergraduate Transcript (copy or PDF of original, not web-based)
  4. Law Transcript (copy or PDF of original, not web-based; however, you may provide the web-based version with the official version to follow if your official transcript will not contain all of your law school grades prior to the application deadline)
