As individuals and a company, we’re excited about the opportunity to contribute to the community that we live and work in. With our total number of lawyers and support staff exceeding 130 people, we’re convinced that our involvement with a broad variety of organizations and initiatives can have a significant impact. Whether it’s serving on the boards of charitable organizations and public companies, coaching community sports teams, or contributing time, energy, and money to local fundraising campaigns – we take pride in supporting Manitoba and its livelihood.

A small sample of the community projects we’re involved with, includes:

United Way
We actively promote an annual employee fundraising campaign to raise support for the United Way. The two-week campaign consists of many unique events and competitions that raise funds and increase awareness of the community agencies that are sponsored by the United Way.

CancerCare Manitoba Foundation’s Challenge for Life 20K Walk 2010
Fillmore Riley was the first law firm in Winnipeg to become involved with CancerCare Manitoba Foundation’s Challenge for Life 20K Walk.

With 12 participants, our goal was to raise a minimum of $12,000. Through a combination of pledges from family and friends, firm contributions, fundraising efforts and personal donations from lawyers, we surpassed our goal, raising a total of $22,896.50.

Created by the CancerCare Manitoba Foundation, the annual walk helps Manitobans reduce their risk of cancer and increases awareness for all types of cancers.

At Fillmore Riley, one of our core values is to make our community a better place to live. Our involvement with CancerCare Manitoba Foundation is just one example of how we literally walk the walk to better our community.
