Overview
We represent developers, investors, lenders and other interested parties in all aspects of land development projects, including land acquisitions, assemblies and financing, subdivisions and rezoning, construction and takeout financings, lease-ups and divestitures. Our lawyers also provide both practical and legal advice on matters such as builders’ liens, variances and permit applications.
We assist clients in navigating Manitoba’s specific municipal and provincial development requirements and are familiar with applicable legislation, regulations, bylaws and government departments.
We assist in the preparation, review and negotiation of construction, architectural and development contracts (including CCDC and other related standard-form contracts) so that our clients are aware of their rights and obligations from the outset.
We also represent clients before municipal boards and tribunals concerned with construction or project development, taxation, expropriation and use and conveyance of commercial, multifamily or industrial real estate.
