Negev Gala 2011 honours Christine Melnick, MLA.

Fillmore Riley has been a proud sponsor of the Negev Gala for more than a decade. This year the Jewish National Fund of Canada, Manitoba Chapter (JNF) is pleased to honour Christine Melnick, MLA at the Gala to be held May 31, 2011 at the Centennial Concert Hall in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
From water innovation to community involvement, Christine has brought her positive spirit to citizens in both Manitoba and Israel. The JNF is pleased to recognize her.
The Negev Gala has honoured outstanding leaders from within the Winnipeg community every year since 1953, and at the same time has gathered support for environmental research and development projects in the State of Israel. The gala is the JNF’s most important fundraising event of the year.
Founded in 1901, the JNF has evolved into a global environmental leader, planting over 240 million trees, constructing more than 200 reservoirs and dams, and developing over 250,000 acres of land, along with creating more than 1,000 parks and providing infrastructure for over 1,000 communities.
